an increase in entropy?

What is the proof?

I am not a student.

Is there a relationship between
entropy and equlibrium?

Look for adiabatic expansion of a gas. But even there is a small
increase of entropy due to irreversible processes, e.g. heat exchange
with the wall.

> Is there a relationship between entropy and equlibrium?

In a closed system in equilibrium, the entropy has taken a highest
possible value.
