SUMMARY

Programs for simulating near-field electromagnetic fields do exist, with one notable option being SuperNEC. While the full version is not available for free, a free student version is accessible. This software allows users to simulate the electromagnetic fields of coils and inductive antennas in 3D, making it suitable for educational and research purposes.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of electromagnetic field theory
  • Familiarity with coil and inductive antenna design
  • Basic knowledge of 3D simulation software
  • Access to SuperNEC software
NEXT STEPS
  • Download and install the free student version of SuperNEC
  • Research electromagnetic field simulation techniques
  • Explore tutorials on 3D modeling for electromagnetic applications
  • Investigate other simulation tools for electromagnetic fields, such as CST Studio Suite
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, researchers, and students in the fields of electrical engineering and physics who are interested in simulating electromagnetic fields for coils and inductive antennas.

Hi,

I´m looking for a program (free or cheap download) that can simulate the nearfield of a coil/ field of inductive antennas preferably in 3D.
Does anyone know if such a thing exist?
