Where is it?

I'm gonna give my go to mattmns because I'm leaving and it was his squirrel/sql link that gave it away anyhow.

Clues explained.
  1. It is in California.
  2. Privacy is something of which you have vanishingly little. The famous Larry Ellison quote is, "You have no privacy," and refers to criticism of his national-ID plan.
  3. Keep the right company, and you might rival the power of the sun. Maybe a poor clue since Oracle and Sun are not rivals.
  4. This clue is a revelation. M-W Unabridged dictionary entry for oracle: 1 a (1) : a revelation received from the God of Judaism and Christianity : a divine revelation (2) : a typically ambiguous or enigmatic revelation or utterance believed to issue from a divinity through a medium (as a priest or priestess) thought to be inspired
  5. Most folks who would rather not pay for it use my squirrel instead. MySQL vs. Oracle database software.
  6. Among day-traders and Slashdot-readers, this is easily the most recognizable office complex in the world.

Ok, here is my go at it. Hope this is not too easy or too hard.

Clue 1: Not in the US.

Yeah, I figured that. (I just realized I went out of turn before. Sorry.)

It looks like it is in India.

Nope.

Clue 2: Hannibal had to live off the land while somewhat close to this place, although it did not exist then.

Yes! Very good!

OK, I already went, so I guess someone else gets to go.

Maybe we should wait for MK to post one, since I took his turn.

How about another quick one until MK gets back to this thread?

First clue:
1) December 12, 1787

some where in PA.?

Jun11-05, 02:06 PM   #98

Yes.

2) The person who designed this place is famous (Note: Not for his work on bicycles)

Hmm, well I thought those two clues would make it extremely easy. If the first two are googled together the answer is right there!

However, here is a third clue for y'all.

1) December 12, 1787
2) The person who designed this place is famous (Note: Not for his work on bicycles)
3) The place was made in the 1930s.

Not sure I know anything about the clues (except #3), but that place sure looks like Fallingwater, PA - Frank Lloyd Wright's home.
