Medical Neuroscience Q. - How long do new learned material stay in your head for?

Something you have visually seen is more likely to stay in your head then words. e.g try to explain sports through words and then watch somebody do an action what do you think you would be easier to remember better and follow better. If i say swing your arm: think of the many different...

    Threshold energy particle physics

Are you trying to derive the equation i have already stated or are we trying to rearrange the equation to put it in a way we like.

    Threshold energy particle physics

I would love to know but i never get a satisfactory answer . In many areas of physics i dont completely understand so i end up instead of trying to understand, I do pattern recognition. ( you can either blame teachers/books for using too much jargon) Have i done it correctly,(would you add up...

    Threshold energy particle physics

But the invariant mass if the total mass in the equation right where would i subsitute it, don't i just subsitute mass of top quark and anti top quark (dont i have had to add them together) for M* and then substitute electron mass for both M and m.

    Threshold energy particle physics

so we are in a centre of mass frame as the particles are both moving ( i am assuming my equation was for lab frame) so we use a different equation right are u saying the positron and electron have equal mass. but then do we use the positron mass or the elctron mass. If anybody has any ideas...

    Threshold energy particle physics

the mass of electron and positron but I dont know which one is stationary, i.e dont know which corresponds to M and m. M* must correspond to mass of top quark.

    Threshold energy particle physics

a particle of mass m collides with a stationary particle of mass M, the minimum energy required to produce a state of mass M* is, in natural units,

    Threshold energy particle physics

E(threshold enrgy) = M* − M(squared) −m(squared) divided by 2M Determine the threshold energy for producing a top quark and an anti-top quark when beams of electrons and positrons of equal energy are made to collide head on. What do i sub in where and what do i with M*. Thanks

Calculate the lattice constant of caesium chloride

I found an equation that might apply but dont know if its right or why its right 2(r + R)/√3 Where the r's correspond to the different radii

Calculate the lattice constant of caesium chloride

Calculate the lattice constant of caesium chloride with ionic radii Cs+ 0.167nm and cl- is 0.181 nm I dont really get it, from all the structures i have seen the distance between one atom and the next is (a) or (a/2) but i dont think im right.Any ideas. What is the difference between the...

    Laws of Time

You never know. But i am not liking this theory of chemical reactions in brain (seems very loose terminology) But are we going into randomness or time here. Time in mind is just reference points from our observation point and what you are saying we cant have negative time, unless we...

    Laws of Time

If somebody could win the lottery on a consistent basis, I think that would be a pretty good indication of psi. ( for the heck of it/different state lotteries) More than 3 times ( i think that is objective unless somebody would say that is luck) so people cant think its a scam. Surely...

    Laws of Time

Lets just be clear here, I am not asking for a pseudo interpretation of time, I mean you show tangible evidence for the existence of psi through objective results. All i am getting here is that you would need to prove 2 dimensions of time.
  15. F

    Laws of Time

What i am trying to get at if you prove the existence of Psi ( ie psychic functioning beyond all reasonable doubt ( that any skeptic couldnt criticise)) Would this violate any theory, from my readings into quantum mechanics and in relativety the answers work out the same if u you use imaginary...

    Laws of Time

I am not asking for an opinion of if you think it is real or not, I am saying equations or formulas that would be violated.

    Laws of Time

Would any Laws be violated if time was proven not to be real.

    Density of states (solid state)

calculate the density of states and average energy for an elctron gas in 1d,2d and 3d I know the number of states is N= \int_{0}^{infinity} g(e)f(e) de and E = \int_{0}^{infinity} g(e)ef(e) de and g(e) =dN/de

Has acupuncture or cupping been proven to work?

What i see a lot of is people giving logical explanations as to why it doesnt work on physical grounds which is rather biased. You cant touch western medicine because it is in the hands of authority and they all go agree with each other. If you disprove a theory then your new theory...

    Yukawa particle

Hi, i am kind stuck on this question as i don't know what equation to use. doesn't seem to be in any books. By considering possible interactions between protons and neutrons, determine the minimum number of charge states of yukawa's particle. Also why is the interquark force of finite...

Medical Mystery Disease Makes Peoples' Skin Crawl

Also not all doctors are responsible, and if you don't fit the category, they simply don't want to know even if you are adamant there is something wrong with you. It is your word against a doctor. Who would you trust, yourself who actually feels the symptoms or a doctor who cant and is adamant...

Medical Mystery Disease Makes Peoples' Skin Crawl

Yes, but you have to understand, mental problems can be brought upon by physical problems, but people cant understand the physical problem, so they call it mental and yes this does happen. it is very easy for psychologists to diagnose anybody with depression and yet they are not suffering...

Medical Mystery Disease Makes Peoples' Skin Crawl

I am not keen on this idea that if doctors cant understand a condition it is in their head. I was treated with an illness and because they couldn't understand it, they said it was in my head and yet i am not mad. I don't do drugs, i am completely sane and i was in agony. You get sent to...
