I would just have to make up some math and science.. like more advanced physics and calc.

Well i already called the school I plan to go to for grad school and they said the degree I'm getting and the school i'm getting it at is more than welcome.

lol well I don't have a clear picture of that just yet, but as I go through school i will learn what I enjoy more and I will decide then.

Well I would love to work for the government or big name private sector companies. Of course i can't just instantly work there without job experience, but that's what I'm aiming for.

well with that much work experience of course that makes sense. But today I feel a person my age would be hard pressed to find a job with no credentials. (I'm 23) But I come from the medical field so I guess I just look at it like that because of our requirements.

I can only speak on what I've seen but every software and electrical engineer job I have seen always says you need a degree. I have yet to come across someone who will hire on knowledge alone.

I don't care about that, I learned a long time ago not to pay attention to those reviews. It's the same with university of phoenix but I went there and i loved it. Those reviews are drummed up mostly by pissy whiners who got upset over one or two little things, or something bad happened that was...

I'm not looking to be rich, I just want to have a complete education. If there is more out there that I do not know I want to learn it and have the credentials to match.

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

Well it wasn't so much that it had to say engineering in the title, but rather that it would transfer well to grad school. And I want the Masters after some time in the field for more education and money of course! It's just how I was raised, my mom always told me to go all the way. So if I get...

    Advice for aspiring engineer student

Thanks for the input guys, but I found an awesome online program at Drexel. A BS in Computing Technology and then an MS in Software engineering at Embry Riddle on campus.

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

Thanks for the input, yea I decided to focus on software and computer engineering. I contacted Embry Riddle and sent them the curriculum from Drexel U for the BS in Computing Technology and they said they would accept me and just have me make up the math and science classes I'm missing before...

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

Well Devry's program is specifically EE, but everyone keeps saying the school is crap despite its regional AND ABET accreditation. I am not saying anything like "Well whatever I can get, as long as I can tell people I'm an engineer" All I said was that I love computers so anything in either EE...

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

Well there is one online elec eng prog at an accredited univ at devry but its insanely expensive and has a shady rep. At least drexel is accredited and well known. Should i just do software eng then? I wanna do eng amd im not partial to any specific field. I love being on a computer no matter...

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

I understand what it is but embry accepts people on contingent basis if youre missing anything else when you apply. Also online degrees are not all rubbish, there are many good schools out there like nova and fsu that have online degrees. There are some that are worthless but maybe YOU should do...

Very restricted in undergrad options, need advice!

Ok so my honor society told me to go to drexel university online as it is both accredited and has a very good reputation. So here is the program: http://www.drexel.com/online-degrees/bachelors-degrees/bs-gs-tech/curriculum.aspx Since I am restricted to online schooling due to my obligations...

Aside from some math courses I would be missing, would this degree suffice to get me into an electric engineering prog or something similar? http://www.apu.apus.edu/academic/programs/degree/1278/bachelor-of-science-in-information-technology [Broken]

Courses Which order to take math courses?

I tried but the administrative dept at this school sucks, the teachers rock but the people who help you get to them are terrible. None of them know what the hell they are talking about.

Courses Which order to take math courses?

thanks for the quick answer! Ok that's cool , I was never a math wiz but I have most of my prereqs in algebra done just have to do college algebra and I can start with the rest. What about physics with calculus? why do I have to take calc, physics, AND physics WITH calc?

Courses Which order to take math courses?

I just enrolled at the local college for electrical engineering and was wondering what order I should take my classes in? Should I take physics before calc or no? also differential equations, whats it like?

    Advice for aspiring engineer student

I don't have a car and the only engineering program in my area within bus limits is an associates in applied science program but i already have an AS in something else so what should I do? Devry has an ABET accredited electronic engineering program but I'm not sure if I should go there.

BS in space studies for MS. In engineering physics?

I was thinking since alone it's a bit general I could fill my electives with physics 1 and 2 , diff equations, chem, etc and a ton of math. Would that be enough to get me into a grad engineering prog? It is the BS in space studies from APUS.
