Which one is better WSL2 or USB booted Ubuntu?

That's a great strategy. Coming from Windows and particularly with a lower spec machine I recommend you try Linux Mint Xfce Edition.

    Oh I see! Select Extras -> Mathematical typesetting and then you can use ## \LaTeX ## e.g. \(f_{2,G_2}\) https://www.diagrams.net/doc/faq/math-typesetting

Not sure where you are from but in the US each state has its own high school curriculum standards, this is also true for each constituent country (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) of the UK (I don't know about any other countries). So there is no generally relevant answer to your...

How to install FORM (for high-energy physics) on Windows?

Still too many abbreviations. I believe the OP is asking about this: https://github.com/vermaseren/form. There does not appear to be a release for Windows, you could build it yourself using e.g. the gcc compiler under cygwin but it would be much easier to run it under the Windows Subsystem for...

Programming language: what to study after the basics?

This is probably not the place for a comparative debate on software development paradigms but you should be aware that one motivation behind the Agile Manifesto (which I find hard to believe is now 20 years old) was that many projects had suffered from an over-emphasis on a design document...

A Array variable of envelope function (parameter representation)

Oh I think I see where the confusion lies, let me check. You are talking about the envelope of a family of curves. We don't call this an 'envelope function' because the envolope is often not a function. I think you are confused by the reference to a 'parameter' in relation to the family of...

A Array variable of envelope function (parameter representation)

When you say 'envelope function' are you talking about this or this? What do you mean by 'array' and 'array variable'? What do you mean by ## \dfrac \partial {\partial c} ##? You have said that ## c ## is an 'array variable'; whatever that is it doesn't sound like something you could...

Which one is better WSL2 or USB booted Ubuntu?

Yes sorry, my comments were in relation to VirtualBox running on a Windows host. When developing I often have build processes running in the background which swallow a whole core when active, making the foreground GUI editor unresponsive. If you are just editing and running a Python script...

Programming language: what to study after the basics?

There are development paradigms where such a document is not the most important thing.

Which one is better WSL2 or USB booted Ubuntu?

Er, no - you can't dedicate all your CPU resources to the VM. To get similar performance in most desktop applications you need to devote at least 2 physical cores to each VM which means you need at least 4 physical cores in total. It may be worth giving it a try (and 8MB ram is plenty...

Which one is better WSL2 or USB booted Ubuntu?

Coding without a decent IDE is not productive, and running a decent (GUI) IDE on WSL is not practical so that rules that out. Using a USB as your root file system is s...l...o...w and not recommended for development where things like working with git hammer the file system. Dual booting from a...

Oh good catch @vela - this had completely passed me by. Caution: installing root certificates from links you find on the internet is a huge security risk. Type the following into your browser address bar and select 'install' in the dialog: https://letsencrypt.org/certs/isrgrootx1.pem Can you...

The internet runs on Universal Time and so the system clock must be correct in that frame. The time displayed in an app is local time, derived from (1) the system time (2) the system time zone setting (3) the system daylight saving setting. It is possible that there are compensating errors...

    Google default time format?

There's actually a cunning formula which I can't lay my hands on at the moment, but conversion functions exist for most languages, or you can use any of many online converters (search 'unix converter' or 'epoch converter'). Edit: or use this one:

    Google default time format?

Yes, Unix time is the number of seconds since 00:00 on 1 January 1970. Note that leap seconds are ignored i.e. each day in Unix time is exactly 86,400 seconds.

This is almost always IME because your clock is wrong, often due to a timezone/daylight saving setting. No, you don't have a certificate. The certificate belongs to the website owner and is sent by their web server.

The status of the previously created ubuntu folders in windows linux s

Oh and guess what: I uninstalled that 20.04 version and it left the vhd file behind (probably because I had it mounted and forgot to close it). All this weirdness is why I stressed above that you cannot assume that a Windows uninstall has done everything you think it should do (and don't get me...

Me too... ...but I do have a UbuntuonWindows folder left over from a previous install - when I uninstalled it, it only deleted the files but left the folder structure. You can never be sure with Windows! Oh and guess what: I re-installed the App 'Ubuntu' just now and it installed 20.04, so I...

Yes, as long as there isn't a .vhdx file under e.g. ...\Packages\CanonicalGroupLimited.UbuntuonWindows_79rhkp1fndgsc\LocalState as well (I have this folder on my HD left over from a previous Ubuntu WSL installation, but it is empty which is OK).

Doesn't e.g. suffer a power off, disk failure or user abort before it is complete. If you make sure there is one and only one ext4.vhdx file under your C:\Users\Arman777\AppData\Local\... folder you should be OK.

If the uninstallation works properly it will delete the whole folder containing that WSL installation including the virtual hard disk file which contains the image of the linux filesystem which contains the /home folder which contains the /home/[username] subfolder which contains your user files.

The status of the previously created ubuntu folders in windows linux s

It's complicated. WSL files are stored under %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\[distro name]. In practice this means your new Ubuntu subsystem files will be somewhere like C:\Users\Arman777\AppData\Local\Packages\CanonicalGroupLimited.UbuntuonWindows_79rhkp1fndgsc which I will shorten to...
