See the problem is that i dont understand why my cable modem worked with COX cable.. just one month ago.. I canceled cable for a month and now that I'm trying to set it all up again . with COX... I cant connect with my old cable modem. I bet I would not have had this problem if I had stayed with...

I'm trying to find the area for the Koch Snowflake.... I cant really figure it out... I found a couple of equations online (I cant really understand how most work.. or how they have been "derived".. including the mathworld one)
I'm looking at the following formula (seems to work.. but I cant...
You are absolutely right.. and that's exactly why I'm working hard on getting into a decent school full of "smart people", it's not really for the name (Take Swarthmore for example, full of VERY "smart" people, but not well known outside of the "academic circles").
It's an importnat message the OP is trying to communicate; the students who come out as very sucessful individuals from these "top" institutions would probably have been sucessful regardless of which school they attended.
I share this view also.. but I never thought about the other side...
I'm trying to carry out a color blindess test for a biology project. My friend, who is color blind, will help.. but I'm wondering what kind of tets I could use (besides the Ishiraha test).
I'm thinking having two pictures displayed.. and then brining down the "hue" color of a single color in...
I have a problem with reading... I notice that most lighting in combination with my books/textbooks really generates an awful glare. I know I can just tilt the book.. but in the case of a larger text book this is often a problem (even if I put something underneath to tilt it). Anyone know of any...
I just thought of all those crazy "visual tricks" all over the internet.. if anyone knows where I can find a lot of them.. and perhaps some explanations as to why they affect us the way they do... that would be great.
What possible experiments (not college level).. can you think off where the bio aspect of sight can be "tested" on.. anything from colorblindness.. to the blind spot... someone suggested getting a cow eye .. not sure if I will be able to get a hold of one here in San Diego though.
Best magic tricks?
I'm wondering what the bests "magic ticks" you guys know without using any "cheating devices"... just a regular deck of cards.. or any other at hand devices.. heh... and how it's done.. ?
I dunno... just curious.. seems a lot of them involve math..that's cool .. I would...
I have many questions about the metaphysical..... someone told me the "mind" is metaphysical.... as in it does not exist in the ""physical world".... I do not understand their definition of metaphysical..

Does the mind not lie in...

Hm.. I cant find which antacid (tums or alka s.) provides the better ratio of moles of acid neutralized per grams of the antacid.
Does anyone know if they provide any type of information .. something like it somewhere online?
lol.. sorry its actually alka seltzer and tums =-/.. heh.. its a very .. "domestic" lab... and the labels on these thigns are not very helpful at all.
The NaOH was already in liquid form.. it was just added and measured in ml.. the antacid were two different 'products'... weighted first.
Yes.. gender and reace often play a big role.. I'm wondering how it will take for to one day have so much diversity (mixture of races) that it will not really matter anymore (and gender is going the other way now for many universities).
Thanks.. hmm but no I do not know the mas of any of these substances other then the mass of the antacid (tablet dissolved in the HCI , this was basically the first step, it was boiled for 1-2 mins).
One thing.. even if I did have the mass of one thing.. wouldnt I still need the resulting mass...
I'm sorry I'm really bad with chem..
mind pointing out how it would look.. or giving me a sample "problem"..?
1. how would I set up the equations.. when I'm adding two substances... , how would I take into accound measurements in ml
2. How would this information help me?
