Project PF Proliferation - Free Gold Membership!

You didn't have a favourite bathroom? Man, there is this really great one at my university. Nice and spacious, calm aquamarine walls, very low traffic... I'd say more, but I don't want anyone else to start using it... It's mine.

Should songs be under government consent?

I think he was referring to what would happen if you refused to go to jail. At the very bottom, below fines, jail time, and prison sentences there is that fact that the government is stronger then you are. This is why you go to jail - if you don't then you will be physically forced to.

A good analogy for the force on a 2 bolt anchor

Huh, I could swear that I posted a response to your earlier comment showing a set up, but you seem to get it. My friends know that it happens and know that the forces are increased but they really want to know why it happens.

Learning stuff I don't want to know

Look into "Enemies of the People". A guy, whose entire family was killed int the killing fields, interviews a bunch of people high up in the Khmer Rouge. I haven't seen it (I have it on reserve from lovefilm) but I hear it is excellent. I only recently (a couple weeks ago) learned the details...

Oh so Battleship, the game, is now a movie.

If no one has said it by the 1 hour mark, I am going to walk out of the theatre, and make a thread about how someone should punch the script writer in the head.

Should songs be under government consent?

Not neccasarily. In fact almost certainly not. Is charging a fine or sentencing someone to jail time violence? I don't think anyone here was advocating the use of a cat-o-nine-tails here.

Is it ok for the freshman year?

    66% is a D over there? Wild! It's 4% off an A here.

Is it ok for the freshman year?

Those results are fine. I know people who did a lot, LOT worse in their first year and ended up with a perfectly fine degree. Don't worry about it.

Find the supremum, infinum, maximum and minimum

Well, what is the smallest natural number? What is the value of the function at that point? Does the function increase or decrease from that point? Does it converse or diverge?

    Nice ques to solve

To be a little more clear would you be able to write the question word for word as it appears in your homework? Are you asking "How many surjective functions exist from a domain of m elements to a co-domain of n elements?"? I believe that there is a very handy method that gives this answer with...

Calculating electric flux with a constant electric field

It seems the thunderstorm that is brewing is the source of the E field, and is just a little back story. Have a quick thought about it. The X flux is the amount of X going through a surface area, correct? If the field is uniform and verticle, will there be a difference between the flux...

    Deer oh deer

Oh, uh... Oh my. Not just you. That's pretty cool, man. I wasn't surprised when you said that the right body language can let you move closer to the deer, but for it to actually move towards you is super neat.

Should songs be under government consent?

I think it has to do with intent. Cigarette ads intend to promote smoking, it's their main aim. Music with a violent message aims to sell CDs. It does not intend to promote violence, that is not it's purpose, it is a side effect. Similar to attempted murder and reckless endangerment, the...

Experimental Evidence for Conciousness as the Fifth Force.

I would just like to take this chance to say that I was just clowning around. I don't think that conciousness is a force, I know what time dilation is (though my exam results may argue that point) and I am NOT a crackpot! Sorry for inadvertently trolling, dudebrohamskis. Thanks for...

Experimental Evidence for Conciousness as the Fifth Force.

Yet more evidence! Even clocks are not immune to the decelerating and time dilating force of conciousness! p.s. Am I spelling conciousness correctly? Rekonq doesn't have a spell checker and I haven't gotten around to installing FF yet.

Should songs be under government consent?

This can go both ways, though. People with aggressive personalities are more likely to associate with aggressive music. I am not saying that music doesn't influence people - it certainly does - but I don't think that violent music is just churning out homicidal maniacs. This still doesn't...

    Learning- Making it fun again.

Yeah, once we started to learn calculus I was terrified of starting my own checking account. Personally I think the only way of making learning "fun" is to let people learn thing that are relivent to their interests. Now on a basic level I think everyone should be encouraged (read: forced) to...

I repeated the expiment just now. I boiled it while watching it, and it took forever. Then I clicked it onto boil immediately (so the water purity etc. was exactly the same) and left the room immediately. Once again it clicked AS SOON as I left the room! This can't be a statistical anomoly.

Similarly, if you were to ban these songs, the huge quantity of them already avalible for download/streaming would make it a pretty futile effort.

Experimental Evidence for Conciousness as the Fifth Force.

So I know that "Conciousness as the Fifth Force" gets a lot of hate around here, but hear me out, this is legit. So my mother always told me "A watched kettle never boils". The other day, I found this out to be true. Every morning (okay, sometimes it's the afternoon) I wake up and put on...
