Hmm, how about your liking towards Math?
Personally ... you'd require quite a lot of Math for pursuing Physics. Chemistry does require it too, but lesser compared to Physics. Also, at the undergrad level atleast I think you would be able to do more "cooler" stuff/ experiments in Chemistry labs...
Will and David - thanks for your inputs, hmm ... all right let's see after my exams I will approach a few professors for sure. I'm not hesistant of being no, what I am more anxious about is being given a project and unable to complete it. Maybe, its just a stupid subconsciousthing ... but I do...
Malawi - First off thanks for your input earlier. I'm aware of the power of Google, I just confessed that it didn't really make much of any sense to me (without breaking it down and searching for answers) initially ... and it wasn't directed at you.
mgiddy - True, I do feel I need to work on...
Hmm, thanks all for your replies
Michael - I must confess I didn't quite understand your post (One of the reasons I didn't want to approach a professor ...)
mgiddy - Hmm, yes I was considering Java as I hear its a 2nd year course ... seems like a good idea to work on this cause I think it will...
Hi,
Well since its almost nearing summer. I was planning on doing something constructive for it ... do you have any suggestions as to what I could do?
Well as of now, the only thing I feel I know a bit about is Programming, is there some way I could use my programming knowledge to unite...
Hello All,
I've been a periodic reader of this forum. Just thought of posting a thread for opinions from you guru's.
Okay here goes ...
I'm doing my 1st year of Electrical Engineering. Every class in Physics, I question myself if I really have what it takes to continue ... I find the...
Hi,
I was just going through a question in my Physics textbook today. In calculating the electric field (E=sigma/epsilon0) ... sigma = charge density = q/Area ... they have used the area as pi*r^2, I can't understand why this was done? shouldn't the area of the parallel plate capacitor be...
Hello All,
I'm planning to do a relatively simple project.
What it consists of is a wheatstone bridge. I'm making a wheatstone bridge connection with 3 resistors and one unknwown resistor which is a pressure sensor. I know that the sensor changes from say 5,000 ohms (originally) to a...
1. Hmm, I need to draw a Free Body Diagram for the picture posted below.
2. No relevant equations. Just a geometric diagram.
3. I've done what I think it could be using help from Wikipedia.
Could someone tell me if its right? Am I missing any other forces? The original object...
Hi Curious3141,
Thank you for your reply.
Firstly, I'd like to confess I am a newbie.
I didn't get head or tail of that ... is VEroBoard a program on the PC?
Hmmm , nevermind that. I guess I have to start some intense reading on circuitry otherwise the questions will keep...
Hi Arildno,
Well, since I'm still in High School I don't have exposure to experienced people nor does the school have much of any equipments. The only working things in my physics lab are some voltmeters, ammeters, battery eliminators, light microscope, a few mirrors and lenses. So as of...
Hello guys,
I am a 17 year old boy. Science has been a very interesting subject for me …. maybe not theoretical chemistry ;)
I believe the school curriculum restricts us on the beauty of science. There is more of theoretical work involved and we are left clueless at times as to how this...
