Hello everyone,
I was wondering what is the most practical/hands on engineering specialization in mechanical that would not require someone to stay in front of a computer 8h a day, 40h a week because that is what I've mostly been doing at my internships so far (CFD simulations, excel, tecplot)...
Sorry I am just trying to be consistent with the problem statement. Maybe I posted in the wrong forum (although my question is related to Laplace and not the circuit itself), maybe a moderator can move this to Homework & Coursework Questions > Engineering, Comp Sci, & Technology ?
Thanks.

Using Kirchhoff's current law at the note above the resistor R2 I get the following equation, which I believe is right:
C(e0' - ei') + (e0 - ei)/R1 + e0/R2 = 0
Then, since the source has a...
Hello, I am looking for a good source of information about design of machines (static failure, fatigue theory, design of shafts and keys, spur gears, etc..). Maybe some free online material or lecture notes? It seems like a fairly difficult course but I could find very few information so far...

Hi,
I have a general question related to the mechanical engineering profession.
I am a second year mechanical engineering student and I also have a college degree in computer science, my skills are mainly C/C++ programming and networking/Linux environment (system administration).
I love...
I don't understand why you can do that.
I though that since a8=a2/192, then we will have (a2/192)*x^8 in the answer, but in your case we would have (a2/384)*x^8. Why is there a multiplication of the denominator by 2, and where does it come from?
Thanks again for taking the time to answer...
Got it, thanks a lot tiny-tim!
For those that might be interested, you have to make the substitution u=y' and then use separation
of variables.
Another question if you don't mind, would it be possible to solve this problem using power series?
I have to admit that I don't really understand...
