Out of the 18 credits (6 classes) there is one class that its fairly easy, just go to class and write 2 essays so not a big deal that's why i said 12 :)
Good morning, I am currently a Senior in Computer Engineering over the summer i took 4 classes one of them were algorithm the teacher was not that great and failed half of the class (including my self), i didnt study as much as i could for the class so i kinda deserved failing, So at the moment...
So i will start my last semester of college in few days... I am taking few clases that require me to use linux, specially a android programming class (i know i can use windows, but to much ram limitations) i been using on and off ubuntu/debian for about 5 years, but never really felt really...
So I am currently a computer engineer student, with multiple IT certifications (A+, N+, S+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA) i will finish my degree this December and I am trying to make a decision, I am currently working as a software engineer for a small company where the top ill make after i graduate...
So here are two graphs of my current status on the department, one is for Computer engineering and the other for Computer Science, on both of them i need 27 credits but not sure which one to take..

So I am a computer engineering student in FL (USA), about 2 semesters to graduate... I got a co-op job as a Software Engineer, I am working about 30 a week and making around $20 per hour..
When i stared here 2 month ago, they had a guy that was making i think 70k per year (but he was hired by...
Been using linux for few years, but it seems like everything runs around Windows... Every(Most? 90%) EE software its made for windows, at my school every professor, software its Windows, most companies use windows... So is there a reason to keep using linux as an Computer Engineering/ Computer...
hello guys, I am a computer engineering/computer science major on my senior year... I been using a 13" macbook air since i stared, but that got stolen few days ago... btw i used to have windows and linux on it (actual dual booting, no virtualization)
Anyways i usually go to work 7-4, then go to...
Im a Comp Eng student, and i have about 2 month of vacation, but i really got nothing to do.. I know C better than python, just wonder if in this 2 months, what you guys recommend i should get better at C or at python?
Note: those are the only two languages i know so I am open to other...
Both will take 2 semesters for cs I'll have to do 2 classes them 1 the other semester and on comp eng I'll do 3 and 2.
School won't let me take all 3 of cs at once, since one it's a preq of another
So I am at the point in my university that if i take 5 Hardware classes ill become a Comp Eng, if i take 3 software classes ill become a Comp Sci.
I can't do both since to get both ill have to do 3 classes, in any and then 30 extra credits to get the other one.. So this won't be a option since...
Well she said the florida laws states that i must do an extra 15 credit to get both papers(the actual printed degree) but that my transcripts will show that i have completed the requirements for both majors, so that i "reality" i would have both...
Now i know there are a lot of jobs for...
Yup i would like to to go to grad school.
On what to do after i get my degree... I am not sure... I really like robotics, electronics, but i also like IT,servers, programming, etc
Not sure where the salary CE vs CS, but i guess i won't base my studies on salary but i know its important =)
At my Uni i can get a double major in CS and CE with take few extra clases.
Basically its a bit harder/longer to get the major in CE.

I have to take Diff...
Im a Computer Science Major, i just finish a programming Class.. it was a C class, i got an A on the class it was a bit to easy in my opinion, but I am not confident in C
Im good with functions, variables, pointers, basic structs, etc
Im lacking understanding on structs using pointers...
So i have a list of different person height (n=100) between 5 and 8 foot.
1) Test H0: mu = 5.9 vs Ha: mu (not) = 5.9ft with alpha = 0.05?
2) Test H0: Student height has a normal distribution vs H1: Student doesn't have a normal distribution alpha = 0.05 using X^2 distribution
What does it...
Hey guys, I am going to take a test monday for a job interview and they just told me that it will include basic assembly programming questions like: (Assume a 68000 processor)
- Find the factorial of an integer number A.
- Two numbers, A and B are stored in memory locations 2000 and 2010...
So a professor gives me 3 vectors U1, U2, U3 then asks me to calculate
1. Calculate the orthogonal basis vector v1,v2,v3
2. Calculate the Orthonormal basis vectors e1,e2,e3
How do i do question 2? how do i get the orthonormal basis from the orthogonal basis?
How to really learn c? Comp sci student
So i have read about 2 books about c, currentlybtaking a c class but I am having a bit of a learning issue
When the class first stared it was very easy, i got everything and was able to do all book excersices without problem, printf, scanf, ifs, for...
another thing is that i got few friends that graduated from USF with an EE degree and they don't even know how to turn an LED on/off with an arduino board... the program is really bad in my opinion with only one programming class (matlab) and 1 microcontrollers class.. Thats another reason i...
so i pulled the undergrad catalog (http://www.ugs.usf.edu/pdf/cat1112/15engin.pdf) and here are the differences between CS and CE:
CS: 120 total credits
Deparment upper-level Elective (CSE theory elective)
Deparment upper-level Elective (CSE elective)
Deparment upper-level Elective (CSE...
i changed from comp sci because i didnt want to have a job that i would be programming 8h a day.. but then there are not many jobs as EE so i rather have a job :) and i don't mind programming 8h anymore =)
So i stared as Comp Sci major about 3 year ago, very quickly changed to EE since i got interested in robotics and stuff like that. Since then i been playing with electronics, doing a lot of robotics work and i really like it... and i think its a hobbie that matches with me 100%. But now that I...
So finally ima start my true electronics studies at school i finish my calcs, my physics and all the prerequisites to get into the EE program.. So i have play with arduino from turning on an LED on to building a small robot. Also i done a bit of straight AVR but not much, so my C programming is...
ya been a gentoo user for a while, but gentoo is becoming a pain in the a** having to do everything manually, so just wondering which would be better
For an ee student deb or ubuntu
