Thank you!
Just out of curiousity, is the coefficient we get for V' the answer to X'.
I got V' = (.017) (sqrt (k)/sqrt(m))
and when I plug in for v'^2= (k/m)(x')^2
I get x=.017. Is it suppose to be that way, I am really confused. Well if it is thank you Marlon and everyone else who has...
trust me I have been looking at it for days, but I can't seem to get an answer. I literally have five pages of work and to no avail. I need a solution. As always, appreciated.
The work I have provided is what I knew. I didn't know what to do.
By the way can you help me out with the Conservation of energy question. A physics guru by the name of Marlon says y = \frac{gt^2}{2}. How did he get that. Help would be appreciated.
Where are you getting the 2 from and what is the t for?
is 2 part of the equation and t is for time and if t is time then how would you get time or 1.93 m.
Thank you
A 7.94 kg stone is resting on a spring. The spring is compressed 10.2 cm by the stone.
(a) Calculate the force constant of the spring.
(b) The stone is pushed down an additional 28.6 cm and released. How much potential energy is stored in the spring just before the stone is released?

Two trains, each having a speed of 34 km/h, are headed at each other on the same track. A bird that can fly 58 km/h flies off the front of one train when they are 102 km apart and heads directly for the other train. On reaching the other train it flies directly back to the first train, and so...
