Most people in the US think that New Mexico is another country.

That's why it's the only state that feels the need to include "USA" on its automobile license plates: "New Mexico USA."

Oh, and I'm also in the USA, in a state that actually wasn't part of the USA for a few years. A few people here still think it should never have re-joined...

Where your from, is not time related, so should not matter. I think it is good that more people speak up and let everyone know more about who we all are.
I would like to see more personal information about people and what their backgrounds are composed of.

When I see nothing about an individual, I tend to think of them as very young and inexperienced in life, until I find a few things in their post to say otherwise.
