Is Global Consciousness Connected? Investigating the GCP and its EGG Anomalies

In summary, the Global Consciousness Project is an international collaboration of researchers interested in the extraordinary potentials of consciousness. The project has its beginnings in a series of coincidences that seem to manifest unusual orderliness, almost a design. Quite unlikely meetings and events have been instrumental in creating a technical structure which we think may have the capacity to register evidence of interactive connections of mind on a world-spanning scale. The project is an effort to detect signs of a coalescing global consciousness. Coincidentally (or perhaps inevitably), this is happening at a time in history when it is just barely possible, yet seems most necessary.

...The Global Consciousness Project
An international collaboration of researchers interested in the extraordinary potentials of consciousness is responsible for an experimental project that is asking whether some faint glimmering of a coherent global consciousness can be observed. The Global Consciousness Project (GCP), which is also called the EGG project, referring to its network of detectors, has its beginnings in a long series of coincidences that seems to manifest unusual orderliness, almost a design. Quite unlikely meetings and events have been instrumental in creating a technical structure which we think may have the capacity to register evidence of interactive connections of mind on a world-spanning scale. The project is, simply put, an effort to detect signs of a coalescing global consciousness. Coincidentally (or perhaps inevitably), this is happening at a time in history when it is just barely possible, yet seems most necessary.

Kinda sounds like a 70's revival. In my misspent youth, we used to set up high gain directional antenna arrays to see if we could get a room full of 10 watt minds to have a 20 watt conversation. Beer and pizza pretty much ruined that. I do, however, still have cheesy, pepperoni dreams and sausage nightmares...

Global consciousness?

Its too easy to be cynical about this sort of thing. After all, the collective will doesn't always promote peace & love.

I haven't had any time to review this but Nelson is making claims of statistically significant results; esp wrt the 911 data.

What is the Global Consciousness Project?

The Global Consciousness Project (GCP) is a long-term scientific experiment that aims to investigate the potential existence of a global consciousness or interconnectedness among human beings through the use of random number generators (RNGs).

How does the Global Consciousness Project work?

The GCP uses a network of RNGs, which are electronic devices that produce a series of random numbers. These RNGs are placed in various locations around the world and continuously generate random data. The data is then compared to major global events and analyzed to see if there is a correlation between the random data and the events.

What is the purpose of the Global Consciousness Project?

The main purpose of the GCP is to study the potential interconnectedness of human consciousness and its impact on the physical world. The project aims to gather data and evidence that can contribute to a better understanding of the nature of consciousness and its potential effects on our world.

What have been the findings of the Global Consciousness Project?

The GCP has conducted numerous studies over the years and has found some statistically significant correlations between the random data and major global events, such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and major cultural events. However, these findings are still controversial and require further research and validation.

Can anyone participate in the Global Consciousness Project?

Yes, anyone can participate in the GCP by visiting their website and accessing their online network. Participants can contribute to the project by focusing their thoughts and intentions during specific events and recording their experiences. However, the GCP team encourages individuals to approach the project with a scientific mindset and not as a form of meditation or spiritual practice.
