    1. What is the post limits if I'm not subscribed (I can't find it anywhere)?
    2. Is the a tutorial on how to write equations in the forum?

    Hello naftali and welcome to Physics Forums.
    There are no post limits whatsoever - you can post as much as you like for as long as you like.
    You can typeset equations using LaTeX, which is the standard typesetting package used in academia. There is a brief introduction https://www.physicsforums.com/showpost.php?p=96768&postcount=1". The post also contains links to more in-depth resources.

    PM stands for "Private Message" where users can send private messages to each other (check the box in the top right-hand corner of your screen). If memory serves, the inbox of "Standard Users" can hold up to 50 messages.
