3-Dimensional Related Rate Problem

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    A helicopter traveling east at 100 m/s and an elevation of 1500 meters kicks a package northward at 5 m/s. The helicopter then decelerates at 3 m/s^2. How fast is the distance between the copter and package changing at t=4 seconds?

    Distance=sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2+(z2-z1)^2)

    3. The attempt at a solution

    I took the derivative of the distance formula and plugged in the values from the word problem. I would just like to verify my answer, which was 34.19 m/s.
