3-space Vector Prpblem

    Wow, this is a cool problem but I have no idea how to even get started. Please click on the picture to make it larger.

    Would someone give me a hint on how to attack this problem?

    Construct a normal to the plane.

    1. create equation of the plane, you have two vectors: B_to_C and B_to_A.

    2. use the distance forumula.

    3. if you know the distance to the plane you know the length of vector from p_to_q. You also have the equation for all points on the plane, so you plug them into the expression for vector length.
