HI everyone. I am designing a system that can automatically drill holes on a concrete wall by a standard hand driller (just to drill 10mm holes with 100mm deep stroke). The automatic driller will be place at front of the hole before the drilling start by a steel frame. My concept is 2 stage jacking. 1st stage, jack the drill to the surface of the wall 2nd stage, jack the drill into the wall with 100mm deep. However, I found the following problem 1. heavy vibration due to hammering during drilling 2. step motor + roller chain / pneumatic is better How I have to treat the special condition during design.
