Homework Help: A Few DE Questions (Nonlinear Dynamics & Chaos)

    Convergence and Stability (DE)

    x = 0 should be stable for x' = -xk. For the second part, I used η' = f(x*) + ηf'(x*)... And since x* = 0, all terms should be zero until the kth derivative, which would mean that larger k results in faster convergence. Is this correct?
