Homework Help: A snapshot graph?

  1. Sep 15, 2012 #1
    A snapshot graph??

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

The figure(Figure 1, see URL) is a snapshot graph of the instantaneous velocity of the particles on a string. The wave is moving to the left at 50 m/s.

Draw a snapshot graph of the string's displacement at this instant of time.

    2. Relevant equations

    D(x,t)=Asin(k*x+omega*t+initial phase)

    3. The attempt at a solution

I honestly don't even know where to start. I am so confused. Please help!
