In summary, a 2-angle triangle in a sphere is a triangle formed by connecting three points on the surface of a sphere, where two of the angles are known or given. The total number of degrees in a 2-angle triangle in a sphere is 180 degrees, and the third angle can be calculated by subtracting the sum of the two known angles from 180 degrees. This type of triangle is commonly used in navigation and geometry to determine location and calculate surface area and volume. However, a 2-angle triangle in a sphere cannot have two right angles.

Triangle has three angles but what do you call it when it has just two angles like in a sphere.

Only a triangle on a sphere with 2 right angles and a 180 degree internal angle would have just 2 angles. It would thne be a quarter sphere - but I don't think it has any special name.

I try that

1. What is a 2-angle triangle in a sphere?

A 2-angle triangle in a sphere is a triangle formed by connecting three points on the surface of a sphere, where two of the angles are known or given. This type of triangle is commonly used in geometry and navigation.

2. How many degrees are in a 2-angle triangle in a sphere?

The total number of degrees in a 2-angle triangle in a sphere is 180 degrees. This is because the sum of the angles in any triangle is always 180 degrees.

3. What is the third angle in a 2-angle triangle in a sphere?

The third angle in a 2-angle triangle in a sphere can be calculated by subtracting the sum of the two known angles from 180 degrees. For example, if the two known angles are 60 degrees and 90 degrees, the third angle would be 30 degrees.

4. What is the purpose of using a 2-angle triangle in a sphere?

A 2-angle triangle in a sphere is commonly used in navigation to determine the location of a ship or plane. It can also be used in geometry to calculate the surface area and volume of a sphere.

5. Can a 2-angle triangle in a sphere have two right angles?

No, a 2-angle triangle in a sphere cannot have two right angles. This is because the sum of the angles in a triangle must be 180 degrees, and if two angles are already right angles (90 degrees each), the third angle would have to be 0 degrees, which is not possible.
