About Frequency

  1. Feb 15, 2012 #1
    Hi,
I am debugging a software that was written several years ago. The problem is with stay time of the flame. Currently, It was staying constantly 20 to 30 milli seconds. I need to improve it to 1 second or more. Thay said that the frequency of the device is 1kHz and AC mains in this coutry produce 50Hz. Here i was confusing that about it was quite clear 50Hz means 20milli seconds. Obvisously, it produce out flame of 20ms. I saw in the programing that they are considering only 20 cycles in 50Hz. what happens if use 50 cycles instead of 20 cycles. I haven't tried it because of some other issues. I am really confused and could not understand it well. Can some one shed light on me.
