B Acceleration question -- about asteroid's velocity

At t=0, two objects start being accelerated to each other. The smaller (with mass m) has velocity v at 0 degrees with respect to the x direction.

At t=T, does the objects velocity stay at the 0 degree angle as in (a) or does the vector stay at a constant angle (theta) with acceleration.

    Thanks
