Airplane Fuselage-Wing Cross Section Equations and References

In summary, the conversation discusses the equation of the cross section between the fuselage and wing of various airplanes, including the Antonov 140, B-707, Cessna-210, and Cessna Citation. The speaker also mentions the need for a reference or book to help with this equation. They clarify that there are multiple models of the Cessna Citation and describe a bulkhead between the wing and fuselage. The desired region for the equation is compared to a bulkhead and the speaker explains the method for finding the conic section using hand calculations and a user interface point.

hi guys,
I was wondering what is the equation of cross section between fuselage and wing of the below airplanes:antonov 140 , B-707 , cessna-210 , cessna citation.
Can anyone help?a book or a refrence or whatever you have

Equation of cross section between fuselage and wing? Can you rephrase that? Also, there are more than one model of the citation...

There is a bulkhead between the wing and fuselage,a little closer to fuselage from bulkhead is supposed the nedeed region that is almost like the bulkhead I think.like the photo that when airliners want to show how the seating arrangement are in a row in their airplane this cross section is viewed from front of the airplane.we should derive the equation for the exterior part of this cross section using the hand calculating techniques for finding conic sections with two points and two slopes and a user interface point that makes the curvature.

1. What is an airplane cross section?

An airplane cross section is a diagram that shows a side view of an airplane, illustrating the shape and arrangement of its internal components, such as the fuselage, wings, engines, and cockpit.

2. Why is it important to understand airplane cross sections?

Understanding airplane cross sections is crucial for aircraft designers, engineers, and pilots. It allows them to visualize and analyze the aerodynamics, structural integrity, and functionality of the aircraft.

3. How is an airplane cross section created?

An airplane cross section is typically created using computer-aided design (CAD) software, which allows for precise measurements and adjustments. It can also be hand-drawn by an artist or engineer.

4. Can airplane cross sections differ between different types of aircraft?

Yes, airplane cross sections can vary greatly between different types of aircraft. For example, a commercial airliner will have a different cross section than a military fighter jet, as their designs and purposes are different.

5. What information can be obtained from an airplane cross section?

An airplane cross section can provide valuable information such as the size and shape of the aircraft, the location and arrangement of components, the aerodynamic profile, and the potential stresses and forces that the aircraft may experience during flight.
