You make one small mistake in the plans and 1000s of years later you are still hearing about it.

I would love to see more of the artifacts, like the bronze pot they keep referring to.

I've checked and I can't find anything that shows the artifacts. Found some interesting additional information about the history of the area.

Go down to the last post.

Here is the original story for RIA Novosti.

It's unfortunate that no pictures of the artifacts are yet available. People seem to keep tight control on such information.

    Some more commentary - http://arky-news.livejournal.com/52486.html#cutid1
They apparently had some knowledge (advanced perhaps) of bronze metallurgy.

Another commentary on some of the history - http://www.assembly.kz/eng/expo_art_gallery.shtml?f=show&type=10021&id=21023164713

It would be interesting if Avestan script/inscriptions were found.

I know of at least two Scythian mummies that have been found. One is reported here -
    http://www.spiegel.de/international/0,1518,433600,00.html and
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/5283320.stm

Many years ago there was a mummified woman found.

Apparently there is a discussion of Scythian mummies in Ch 15 of this book -
