Angry Birds and Physics

  1. Oct 11, 2015 #1
    1. In the video game Angry Birds, a bird collides with an initially vertical log. Why does the log only fall to the left or right?

    2. None, it's a non-science course.

    3. I don't understand the question. Where else would it fall? It's a 2D game. Everything gravity pulls down falls either to the left or right.

The problem does not seem suited to a physics homework forum. The "physics" of a computer game can be arbitrary in general. The question would be better posed to the manufacturer (programmers) of the game.
