ANSYS 13 Workbench (Academic) - interaction-deformation problem

  1. Sep 6, 2011 #1
    Hi everybody,

I'm a beginner in ANSYS and actually working with ANSYS 13 Workbench Academic.

I try to understand the interaction between surfaces with an application of a force. In my 2D simulation example I have a П-shaped detail and I apply 50N of force to one of its ends. As the result I have that the end with applied force "goes through" (penetrates in) the other one.

Then I defined the connection between them as "rough - Surface body to surface body" there is an interaction between them that I can see as a transfer of equivalent-stress in equivalent-stress solution.

Can I get them deforming each other due to the interaction? Here are all the pictures you may need:

    Thanks a lot in advance
