Any Suggestions for an introductory text to the priciples and fundamentals of Mechani

  1. Feb 14, 2010 #1
I am looking for an affordable textbook, (don't have a job affordable), to introduce myself to the basics of mechanical engineering, which will most likely but not certainly be applied to IC engines, or something of that nature, maybe design structure (a rather specific topic, which you would have never guessed T worded myself). I am looking specifically for one with lots of diagrams, and although I think I can learn things decent enough given the time, I have had only the math and science courses in the NJ curriculum up to the tenth grade. Any suggestions for additional textbooks that would be worth purchasing to help understand a book of this nature are also appreciated.
