    They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
    Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
    They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
    They fell with their faces to the foe.

    They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
    Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
    At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

    Lest we forget. :)

    It's important that we really don't forget so that the next generation is aware of what those soldiers went through and hopefully that people realize not only what these people did for their country and the people that actually sent them to war, but also what war is really like which is something that absolutely tears apart the minds and the bodies of the soldiers that participated.

    I don't know of many people personally that would walk into almost certain death the way many of these people did for anyone more than their wife or kids, let alone their country and to protect an idea of any sort.

    Lest we forget.
