As passionate a song can be

  1. Oct 3, 2005 #1
For the past few months I have been listening repeatedly to the song "White Bird" by It's a Beautiful Day, a San Francisco band of the late 60's. It has captured my heart, revealing experiences I never realized, trips of hippies with melancholy irreversible. One image I relate to White Bird is of a crystalline house overlooking a placid lake, faceless people smoking marijuana in a room void of furniture. Once I heard that "White Bird" is symbolic of Heroin. With songs like it, though, I don't need drugs.

Do you have songs profound to the heart, of other lives past and future, or melodies which release your soul to an out of the world sensation? How do you describe the elation from a most favorite song?
