Atomic Physics and Human Knowledge

  1. May 9, 2005 #1
Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this post, but I would like to share a good book about the topics of this forum to evreyone. I recently received from a relative of mine a copy of the the book Atomic Physics and Human Knowledge by Niels Bohr. The book is fairly old, copyright 1958, but it offers insight into some interesting topics, showing the views of scientists from the earlier days of atomic physics.
I would reccomend reading this book if you get a chance, It is a short read, only around 100 pages, but very thought provoking.
Some examples of the topics it covers are: Epistemological Problems in Atomic Physics (Bohr and Einstein); Atoms and Human Knowledge; as well as Biology and Atomic Physics plus many others.
