    2. If an atom has 43 electrons, 56 neutrons and 43 protons what is its approximate atoms mass? What is the name of this element? Technetium, 99
    3. The nucleus of an electrically neutral iron atom contains 26 protons. How many electrons does this iron have? 26
    4. Evidence for the existence of neutrons did not come until many years after discoveries of the electrons and protons. Give possible explanation. It has no electrical charge.
    5. Why are the atomic masses listed in the periodic table not whole numbers? The atomic masses are averaged.

  3. 1. If you remove protons you change the atom or element, it's asking what element you get. But how many protons are being removed? It just says protons.

  4. sorry about that 2 protons are being removed. Would it be carbon?
     
  5. yeah, specifically carbon-14
