What topics should I focus on for the Australian Physics Olympiad?

In summary, the speaker is a year 10 student entering the Australian Physics Olympiad. While they have strong math skills, their knowledge of physics principles is lower than other students. They are mainly interested in the training camp to improve their understanding. They are seeking advice on what they should focus on learning for the qualifying exam. A suggested approach is to research the topics covered, review notes and practice problems, and utilize online resources or textbooks for further understanding.

Hi, I'm entering in the Australian Physics Olympiad (which is the qualifying exam for the training camp, then you go on and do the international olympiad if you make the top 5 I believe in your field). I'm in year 10, though my maths is very strong (no doubt one of the strongest out of all the students entering), but knowledge of physics principles is low compared to the people entering the qualifying exam. I'm only really in it for the training camp, which should help me learn a lot.

If anyone knows about anything I should learn to help me throughout the qualifying exam please share :) Thanks!

It is important to have a good understanding of the topics covered so you can be well prepared. Make sure to review any notes and practice problems related to these topics. Additionally, it may be beneficial to look into online resources or even textbooks to help you further your understanding. Good luck!
