I am looking to develop a fairly efficient workflow for synchronizing my documents directory with a large USB flash drive. [I am a student, and I frequently edit documents both on my laptop and other computers on campus]. At the moment, I have in place a workflow using an action called "Sync folders" that I downloaded from some website a long time ago. However, it doesn't work very well and often spends time copying files back and forth that haven't even been changed. Plus, it searches very slowly. Has anyone done anything similar to this? I am convinced that there must be some way to do it with the basic automator actions included with OS X, or even with the aid of some simple 3rd party actions.
