Axial drilling force

    Hi,
    I just wanted to know what is the effect of axial force on drill bit?
    does it amount to the axial load on the spindle to which it may be mounted?

    yes.
    but other effect of the same is on buckling of long and slender drill bits.
    apart, its reaction is responsible for the axial advance of the same inside th work
