Balancing a crankshaft

  1. Aug 29, 2016 #1
Hi, I am going to design my own 50 ci engine, straight 4 cylinder 2 stroke. I know nothing about how I should go about the crankshaft... Very few drawings so far, can anyone guide me on any formulas i should use to figure out what i need, based on piston weight, rod weight and size, etc...

You need some real technical knowledge to do any of this properly .

Having said that though some amateurs have designed and built engines which worked successfully . Usually by copying and adapting components from other peoples designs .

What have you done so far ?
