Basic Wave question

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    Shake a rope so that it makes three "humps" (known more formally as anti-nodes). If you shake the rope up & down 12 times in 9.5 seconds while you and your partner are 2.5 m apart, what is the speed of the wave through the rope?


    2. Relevant equations

    V=(frequency)(wavelength)

    3. The attempt at a solution

    you can find the period by 12/9.5secs and x2. 1/T gives u Frequency which ends up to be aruond2.52Hz. 2.5/3 gives you the wave length. Put it all 2gether (2.52)(2.5/3)=2.1m/s
    If someoen can varify this it would be great =D
