Beaming Up Scottie

  1. Feb 21, 2006 #1
I see that there is a funeral parlor service called Space Services that does memorial rocket launches for people who want to send deceased loved ones' ashes into orbit for a few years before they decend back to earth.

James Montgomery Doohan, the Canadian actor who played the Scottish engineer "Scottie" ("there's nay enough power Captain") died last July and his ashes are being sent with 186 other people's ashes into orbit by the California based company, Space Services (reverb heard here). Gene Rodenberry, creator of the famed Star Trek series and its spin-offs has his ashes already in orbit, so far.
