    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

I have question in my assignemnt which i have no clue what to answer

Discuss the effect of lap angle on the frictional torque that can be transmitted, for both the flat and the vee belt.

    2. Relevant equations

    Lap Angle
    (degrees) 60 90 120 150 180

    Lap angle
    (radians) 1.047 1.571 2.094 2.618 3.142

    m2
    (kg) 1.5 1.7 1.9 2.05 2.25
    T2 (N)
    4.905 2.943 0.981 -0.4905 -2.4525
    T1/T2
    4 6.6 20 -40 -8
    ln (T1/T2)
1.386 1.887 2.996 Only positive numbers have ln
    Coefficient of friction
    0.387 0.351 0.418

    3. The attempt at a solution

I have reasearch web and books to see if there is anything which will at least show/tell me anything about it but i was unsuccessfull. I dont want anyone to answer them straight away i just want some direction where to have a look
