Hi all, for those of you in the field of civil engineering/construction management, which is the better route for getting there, civil engineering major or construction engineering management? I am at the point in my college education that I need to choose one or the other as most of the classes are completely different. I'm attending Oregon State University, and was thinking of majoring in CEM and getting my masters of business and engineering in construction management. Or majoring in CE and also getting my MBE degree. My question is: when it comes to being a Project Manager, is it better to be a licensed PE, or a licensed Construction Manager? Obviously getting my degree in CEM would not allow me to become a PE, or even an EIT for that matter! Thanks for your advice and input :)
