Bill Analysis (Power & Energy)

  1. Feb 20, 2017 #1
Info at the bottom, really appreciate verification that I am doing this correctly. Really need help with part C.

    a)
What is the kWh used for this day? Answer I Got: 9497.28 (summed up all kWh)

    b) Assuming that this is the peak day for the previous year and TOD rates shown below apply, what is the energy usage and demand charges for this day?

    Energy Usage I got: $.03773 * 9497.28 = $358.33

Demand Charge I got: $4.55 * 9497.28 = $43212.62 (since we are looking at the peak)

    c) What would be the change in charges if the second occurrence of process 2 was moved to 45 minutes later? (I know this changes the charge, but I'm baffled. Would it be no change in charges since we are just starting the process at 1:45 instead of 1:00)

    ???
