Do bioscience grad students make good partners for male physics students?

In summary, the conversation discusses the gender distribution in bioscience graduate programs and the potential for male physics and astrophysics graduate students to find partners among their female bioscience peers. The speaker mentions that in their friend's master's class, there were 20 female students and 4 male students. However, it is noted that the female students are more likely to be receptive to attractive potential partners, rather than specifically physics students. The conversation also briefly mentions the long hours and desperation that comes with studying in these fields, and speculates on where these students may hang out. Overall, the conversation touches on the potential for relationships between bioscience and physics students, but also acknowledges the presence of other potential partners outside of academia.

are most of the biosciences majority-female? and are a lot of them receptive to physics students? (seeing that many have to study long hours and some of them get pretty desperate?). Heh, where do they often hang out? Maybe bioscience grad students are some of the best potential partners for male physics/astrophysics grad students. :p

In my friend's master's class, most of the students were female, like 20 females and 4 males in the class. I guess they would hang out where everyone else hangs out...

Sorry to break your bubble, but they ain't receptive to physics students, they are receptive to potential mates they find attractive. That may include *some* physics students.

Takes a desperate man to hit on desperate woman.

Out and about.

Either them, or Victoria Secrets models. What do you think of Adriana Lima ? She looks pretty desperate too, prolly from the long work hours.

1. What is a bioscience grad student?

A bioscience grad student is a graduate student who is pursuing a degree in the field of bioscience, which includes the study of living organisms and their interactions with the environment.

2. What types of degrees can a bioscience grad student earn?

Bioscience grad students can earn a variety of degrees, including a Master of Science (MS) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in fields such as biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and more.

3. What do bioscience grad students study?

Bioscience grad students typically study a combination of biology, chemistry, and other related subjects, with a focus on understanding and conducting research on living organisms and their systems. This may include topics such as genetics, cell biology, ecology, and physiology.

4. What career opportunities are available for bioscience grad students?

Bioscience grad students have a wide range of career opportunities available to them, including roles in research, academia, industry, healthcare, and government. They may also pursue careers in fields such as biotechnology, environmental science, and pharmaceuticals.

5. How long does it take to become a bioscience grad student?

The length of time it takes to become a bioscience grad student can vary depending on the specific program and level of degree being pursued. On average, it takes 2-3 years to earn a Master's degree and 4-6 years to earn a PhD in bioscience.
