Hi,

Can anybody recommend an advanced book concerning mechanical vibrations? I'm especially interested in vibrations of a spehere, hemispehere and bell.

Thank you!

In general, structural dynamics books will give you the background needed to model these objects.

Try: L. Meirovitch. Principles and techniques of vibrations, Prentice Hall, 1997.

Also: Jimin He, Zhi-Fang Fu. Modal analysis, Butterworth-Heinemann, 2001.
There you will find an example of a bronze bell modal analysis.
