Bound In Nutshells, Kings of Infinite Space

  1. May 1, 2004 #1
It would seem that many of the "theories" in this forum are the products of minds bound up in ignorance and yet convinced of their own superiority over the brilliance of centuries of scientists. There is, of course, nothing wrong with this ignorance; everybody was once ignorant in physics and all other topics. But when an undergraduate or high schooler proclaims they have debunked special relativity or created a perpetual motion machine, the pitiful offspring of arrogance and ignorance rears its ugly head.

Obviously, some revolutionary theories start out sounding crazy (Kaluza-Kelin Theory, for example), and always there will be geniuses who have never gone to school or training (Ramanujan would be a good example). That is why I suggest no rules of posting. Rather, I merely implore everybody who intends to post a new thread in this forum to please consider their evidence before hand. If there really is a researcher out there looking for help with their thesis, they've been lost in the glare of the latest time machine schematic.
