Braked truck tire: which model should I use?

  1. Apr 19, 2013 #1
    Hi all,

I'm developing a quarter car model of a truck trailer with a braked wheel. I need to simulate the longitudinal dynamic (i.e. longitudinal speed, tire slip, tire longitudinal force) but also the vertical one since it effects the tire vertical load. I'm interested tomodel the frequency range up to 8Hz. Which tire model would you suggest me to use? Where could I get reasonable model parameters? Is there any database? Unfortunately I can't have any measurments. I'm not interested in model parameters of a specific tyre, I just need to have any reasonable data for a typical truck tyre.

    Thanks

    Regards
