Brushing teeth!

  1. Jul 1, 2010 #1
I was thinking how animal's teeth does not decay, as they do not brush their teeth....??? if brushing is soooo crucial for healthy teeth... Are toothpastes just a whiteners with good smell or ....

How did humanoids had healthy teeth without having toothpastes?

    Thanks for your replies.

I think a large contributing factor is the processed food available to us, especially sugar.

We also don't massage our gums and teeth working at roots and fibers anymore. We cut, cook, mush, and process our food so that it's easy to get to the nutrition and flavor, so we might be cutting a maintenance cycle out of our behavior.
