    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

Which of the following statements about C3 and C4 plants is incorrect?

    a. In C4 plants, the CO2 is first incorporated into a 4-carbon compound and in
C3 plants the CO2 is first incorporated into a 3-carbon compound

    b. C4 plants use PEP Carboxylase for the uptake of CO2 and C3 plants use Rubisco for the uptake of CO2.

    c. Both systems use Rubisco for final CO2 incorporation into sugar.

    d. C4 is more water efficient because PEP Carboxylase brings in CO2 at lower concentrations and does not need to keep stomata open long.

    e. a and c

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution

I'm just really confused because I can't figure out what's wrong - I thought each of these was correct. From what I understood, C4 plants were first incorporated into a 4-carbon compound and that they both involved Rubisco, even C4 plants.
