Calibrating Accelerometers

  1. Jan 27, 2012 #1
    Hiya,

Unsure as to where exactly to post this, here, maths, or electronics. So apologies if I have chosen wrongly.

I am currently involved in a project using a Kionix accelerometer, and I am having a few issues getting accurate readings, due to the very small sensivities.

I am now looking into calibration methods listed here.

    http://www.rocklandscientific.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=ph72xW5yI7Y%3D&tabid=68&mid=455 [Broken]

What I am confused with (I do not have a mathmatical background) is the equations listed here. Or the order I should try and use them, as everyone seems to link to the other with no logical (that I can spot) starting point.

Could someone give me a quick order these equation go into, and some of the reasoning behind them?

    Thank You
