Capacitor mark

  1. Mar 25, 2009 #1
Hello. I own an electrolytic capacitor which capacitance is 68 µF. Something strange is written on it 400 WV. Is it the service voltage ? Probably, but in that case, what is the meaning of the letter W ? Thanks by advance for your replies.

Could it stand for the maximum safe working voltage?I am not sure.
