can we only remember a certain amount of information, after that we cant remember more no matter what? is the capacity of mind limited?

I suspect there has to be a mathematical limit based on the number of neurons there are to store information, but that we generally do not use full capacity. Some people seem to have measureably more information than others, like those who are multilingual in 10 or 20 languages, or those who have a penchant for storing trivia.
